The Sahara Beach is situated in the Northern party of Croatia, specifically near Lopar. It is mostly known as a naturist beach. The beach is primarily sandy, mixed with pebbles and rocks in some areas. It is popular with nudists because of the less crowd.
To reach the beach, you have to hike a little from the parking spot. Although the access is not straightforward, the hike is short and only 1 km of a stroll to the beach. However, the dirt and rock path to the beach is also accessible via bicycle or off-road vehicles. If you chose to walk, it would take you approximately 30 minutes. They are about 20 to 30 slots at the car park.
One important reminder is you will need to bring everything to the beach as there is no food and drink service available. There is also no security guard available at the beach because it is not a popular tourist area.
In terms of activities, you can do a couple of things at the beach. Apart from sunbathing and swimming, the wind is sometimes conducive for windsurfing. You could also go snorkeling as the water is pristine and clean. There are no waves at this beach, and it has a sandy bottom.
